Today's Bible Study is based on Hebrews 11:1
Now Faith is the assurance of the things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)Some may feel as if it is hard to have faith in God, because we cannot see him with our eyes. While we can’t see the air around us, if you blow on your arm, you can feel the air. That is “evidence” (a clue) that air exists even when we can’t see it. God never asks us to just assume that He exists! Even though we can’t see Him directly, He has left us evidence that we can see, so that we can know He is real. In the Bible, God tells us how he created the world, how we are all born with a sense of what is right and wrong, in miracles that Jesus did to prove He was God, and when Jesus came back to life, after He died – something that several people from the Bible were able to witness! Jesus’ life and resurrection were amazing “clues” that God left us, so that we are able to know He’s real.
Have faith, believe with all your heart and soul that what you are seeking from the Lord that He will provide for you. When you pray to God, you are proclaiming, that you have faith that he is going to answer your prayers. The Bible tells us, to trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Whenever you feel that your faith is shaken continue to read Proverbs 3:5-6 and Hebrews 11:1. Also, tell yourself, "I am not going to settle for small things in life. Things may not be going my way at this moment, but I am going to keep my faith strong and know that God will is going to expand my horizons. I believe that God is going to answer my prayers!"
God,
We come to you now asking that you will open our hearts, so that we can have faith that you will provide our needs and answer our prayers. Teach us to trust you with all our heart and soul. Thank you for everything that you have provided us with, because without you, we would not have anything. We pray this prayer in Jesus' name, Amen.
